The project about culture “No, they didn’t!”

The project is based on research into diaries, letters, and memoirs rarely accessible to the general public. Polina Pendina hosts the program, which reveals unconventional aspects of the lives and works of famous artists, writers, composers, architects, and other significant cultural figures. Viewers will discover hidden passions and strange fears, everyday customs and shocking quirks, adventurous friendships, and subtle rivalries within the art world that do not appear in academic biographies or scholarly works. In its first year, "No, they didn't!" produced two seasons with ten episodes each, plus several special editions. “No, they didn't!” collaborates with leading cultural institutions, creating joint projects with large museums and publishers. In 2024, "No, they didn't!" won a VK Grants award, expanding through a podcast called "A Non-Trivial Question!"
