This project highlights Russian cities' unique features, events, and traditions using the familiar format of refrigerator magnets.
Unlike typical magnets with massively famous landmarks, the project's authors decided to go further and enlisted local creators and artists to create unique images and graphics. The photos show unusual city symbols of little interest to visitors or beauties that would seem ordinary to visitors.
Each magnet visualizes one of the many unique characteristics of a city. The project began in 2023, with the first test launch of an online platform in 2024. The platform, a website iteration featuring a shared "virtual fridge," showcases an existing magnet collection from regions like the Altai Territory, Arkhangelsk Region, Bashkortostan, Vologda Region, Karelia, Krasnodar Territory, Moscow and the Moscow Region, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Pskov, Omsk, Tambov, Tver Regions, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, and the Chechen Republic.
