Perm Opera and Ballet Theater named after P. I. Tchaikovsky


Starting from the spring of 2020, the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater has been holding online broadcasts on its YouTube channel, VKontakte,, and other websites almost every day. Total number of views has already exceeded 4 million.

In March 2020, all Russian theater and concert venues were forced to close to the public. It was online broadcasts that became an opportunity for them to keep in touch with the audience.
As part of the Art Online project with the support of Sberbank, the best performances and concerts of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater can be viewed at the Okko online cinema. Performances and concerts available at the Okko include operas "Eugene Onegin" by Tchaikovsky and "La Boheme" by Puccini, oratorio "Messiah" - one of the most popular pieces by Handel, theater's Symphony Orchestra concert, consisting of Tchaikovsky's Third Symphony and Brahms' First Symphony. Ballet fantastique "Swan Lake" by Tchaikovsky in the author's edition of Alexei Miroshnichenko, the Head of the Ballet Company of the Perm theater, was also presented to the audience.
Since April 8, 2020, performances and concerts of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater have also been broadcast by Yandex.Efir platform. The audience could watch romantic ballet "La Sylphide" by Levenshold, fairy tale ballet "The Blue Bird and the Princess Florina" set to the music by Adan and staged by Alexei Miroshnichenko and the opera "La Boheme" by Puccini directed by Philipp Himmelmann and conducted by Theodor Currentzis.
