Region:

As part of the poetry marathon, which was included in the Russian Book of Records, authors from different regions of the country read their poems to a wide audience in real time.

Unique 24-hour online poetry marathon took place on June 27 and 28, 2020 at the Library No. 76 named after M. Y. Lermontov in Moscow.
Present-day poets from all over Russia were reading their poems for 24 hours on the Made Inside and There Will Be Poems Here YouTube channels and on the Do Culture! online portal (http://journal.cbs-vao.ru) of the Russian Ministry of Culture and Mass Communications. A nationwide record was fixed by the editors of the Russian Book of Records: more than 100 poets were reading their own poems one by one in real time.
A total of 151 poets took part in the marathon. Teleconference bridges were arranged with St. Petersburg, Pyatigorsk, Yekaterinburg, Belgorod, Kursk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Sevastopol, Samara, Vyazma, Cheboksary and Kazan. Authors of the project plan to set a new record and bring together not only Russian cities, but different countries as well, to invite both Russian-speaking modern poets and those speaking other languages.
