Cheboksary City Day, which is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of August, is one of the most beloved holidays of citizens, which unites all generations. Traditionally, the festive events were held on a large scale and lasted for several days. But the limitations caused by COVID-19 forced us to look for new formats. In 2021, the holiday was transferred to an online format. In addition to the traditional concert, online contests were launched: photos, drawings, video greetings from residents of the city and many other events.
Directly on the Day of the city, that is, on August 15, a stage platform was organized on the central square of the city and at 16 o'clock a concert began, which was broadcast on various Internet resources. The city people were able not only to watch the concert, but also to send greetings and wishes live, a Zoom conference was organized for this purpose. In addition, there were open mobile studios in different parts of the city, where citizens could also send greetings and wishes to the city. On the big screen located next to the stage on the Red Square of the city, all congratulations and wishes were broadcast online.
The project made it possible to create a festive atmosphere in the city, generate positive emotions and unite citizens of all ages.
The results in numbers: more than 30 thousand people were able to watch the festive concert online, as the broadcast was not only on the Internet, but also went to the local TV channel UTV.
