Arguments and Facts and the State Historical Museum have prepared a project dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the museum, designed to acquaint readers with the country's past through priceless exhibits of the institution's funds.

February 9, 2022 marked the 150th anniversary of Emperor Alexander II's decision to establish the Russian Historical Museum on Red Square. By this date AiF.ru and SHM have prepared a joint project designed to acquaint readers with the country's past through priceless exhibits that are stored in the collections and exhibited in the halls of the museum.

Thanks to the efforts of the founding fathers of the museum, its trustees, directors and ordinary employees, who preserved and multiplied priceless collections with their selfless work, today the State Historical Museum is one of the largest museums in the world and the largest museum in Russia. The museum houses priceless monuments of archeology, numismatics, ancient books, weapons, works of fine and decorative arts. The author of the museum building project V. O. Sherwood wrote: "The historical Museum should ... serve the cause of the people and public consciousness, be an expression of it."
