On October 7 the acceptance of applications for the international award “Culture Online” has finished on culturaonline.ru – the site of the educational digital project by the Russian Cultural Foundation.

The purpose of the award is to identify and encourage the best practices of the online technologies introduction in the domain of culture. This year, 323 applications were submitted from 53 regions of Russia and other countries, including Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland.

The participants will be awarded in 7 main nominations. Apart from it, the award organizers will choose a winner for the traditional 8th nomination “Special Prize of the Russian Cultural Foundation”.

All the submitted projects were implemented in an online format or with the use of IT technologies since October 16, 2021. The following nominations became the leaders in the number of applications: “Best Educational Project”, “Best Online Project” and “Best Collaboration”. Applications were also accepted in the nominations “Best IT Solution in the Field of Culture”, “Best SMM Campaign”, “Best Online Broadcast”, “Cultural Gamification”.

The next stage is the evaluation of the submitted works by the expert council, where the violist, conductor, People’s Artist of the USSR and the Russian Federation Yuri Bashmet acts as the chairman. The jury also includes General Director of the TASS agency Sergey Mikhailov, Director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts Marina Loshak, General Director of the Russian National Museum of Music, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bryzgalov, General Director of the MASTERS school, founder of the NFT-art platform “masters digital” Polina Bondareva, writer, author of a number of bestsellers, screenwriter, founder of the “Unprincipled Readings” literary and theatrical project Alexander Tsypkin.

 A shortlist of finalists will be announced on November 1. The award ceremony for the nominees will take place within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum on November 12, 2022.
