A series of lectures, brief excursions into the history of one of the oldest theatres in the south of Russia: the Gorky CARDT is timed to its 200th anniversary, which is celebrated in 2021.

The theatre has long been the undisputed centre of the theatrical life of the Crimea. There are many bright pages in its history.

The most striking performances, legendary actors who served in the theatre in different years, landmark events are told in historical sketches, using digitized photographic materials from the theatre's archive, while the principles of posting on social networks are observed, where it is necessary to submit the material in an engaging and concise manner at the same time.

The author of historical excursions, the head of the literary and dramatic part of the theatre, Honoured Artist of the Crimea, Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine Lyudmila Kasyanenko has been engaged in research on the history of theatrical life in Simferopol for thirty–five years and is the author of four books on the history of the theatre.
