Petrovskaya Akvatoria Museum is a historical scale model of St. Petersburg and the suburbs as they were in the 18th century (Peterhof, Oranienbaum, Kronstadt).
The main feature of the model is a real water space symbolizing the waters of the Neva River and the Gulf of Finland on the shores of which St. Petersburg and the suburbs are located.
Old St. Petersburg comes to life in the Petrovskaya Akvatoria: seasons, as well as day and night change, you hear sound effects, see floating models of the ships dated to the era of Peter the Great, witness floods and fires.
Apart from observing the city life you can also move carriages, ships and people "giving life" to the scenes by means of interactive buttons. Acquaintance with St. Petersburg begins here!
