BEDTIME STORY

Favorite actors of the Bashkir State Puppet Theater read children's fairy tales online in Russian and Bashkir languages.

Theater launched Bedtime Story online project in social media during the overall self-isolation in April 2020. Today, project's videos are available on the official YouTube channel of the puppet theater, as well as in the theater's VKontakte group.
Actors were shooting episodes at home first, but as soon as restrictions were eased and the theater started working offline, the project grew into an independent one — actors began to create bedtime stories in the theater, having allocated a studio specially equiped for the project. Actors of the puppet theater recorded more than 200 fairy tales throughout the project's existence, and these can be easily regarded as comprehensive TV plays. Actors use theater puppets, scenery, as well as video projection and sand animation when creating these videos.
Thanks to the Bedtime Story online project, the audience of the Bashkir Puppet Theater has grown significantly. Theme-based videos and plays are watched not only in Bashkiria Republic, but also in other cities of Russia and even in countries abroad. The project is supervised by Olga Sharafutdinova, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
